Model Context Protocol

Run your blog by chatting with AI.

Connect Afloat to ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor. Turn ideas into published posts — without opening the dashboard.

How it works

1
Sign in to Afloat

We analyze your homepage and generate your strategy and first ideas automatically.

2
Connect the MCP server

Add https://app.afloat.one/mcp to your AI client.

3
Chat to publish

"Write and publish the next idea." That's it.

What you can do over MCP

Every tool runs as you, on your active blog. Try the example prompts in your AI client.

Idea → Published post in one prompt

One MCP call turns your top idea into a live blog post — body, meta, cover image, and publish. No dashboard needed.

"Take my top unused idea, write a 900-word SEO post with a focus keyword, generate a cover image, and publish it to my Blog page."

Tool chain: list_ideas → create_post_draft (with publish: true, cover auto-generated)

Browse

  • Look up your strategy — one-liner, audience, USPs.get_strategy
Try: Show me my current Afloat strategy.
  • List published, scheduled, or draft posts with details.list_postsget_post
Try: List my last 5 drafts and their focus keywords.
  • See every idea stacked in your Ideas tab.list_ideas
Try: Show my top 3 unused ideas.

Create

Draft, cover, and publish — all in one call.

Every "Create" tool accepts publish: true to go live immediately. No separate publish step needed.

  • Turn an idea into a full post — body, meta, focus keyword, and publish.write_and_publish_from_idea
Try: Take my top unused idea and publish it as a 900-word SEO post.
  • Write a new post from a custom topic and publish in one shot.create_post_draft
Try: Write and publish a post about pricing a SaaS free trial, 800 words, focus keyword 'saas free trial pricing'.
  • Generate a cover image with AI and attach it automatically.generate_cover_image
Try: Add a cover image to my latest draft and publish it.
  • Create a draft (or publish immediately) from your own title, body, and cover.create_post_draft
Try: Publish a post titled 'Launch notes' to my Blog page with this body: … and cover image URL: https://…

Skip publish: true to save as a draft instead. You can also schedule_post for later.

Edit

  • Update a post's title, body, slug, focus keyword, cover, or page.update_post
Try: Rename the slug of my last draft to 'saas-trial-pricing' and tighten the intro.
  • Update your strategy — one-liner, audience, USPs, business name.update_strategy
Try: Update my one-liner to 'Ship SEO blogs on autopilot' and add a USP: 'No CMS.'

Publish

  • Publish, unpublish, or schedule a post.publish_postunpublish_postschedule_post
Try: Publish the draft titled 'How to price a SaaS trial' with a cover image.
  • Delete a post you no longer want.delete_post
Try: Delete the draft called 'old test post'.
